The Cowal Way offers walkers the opportunity to follow a new long distance footpath from Portavadie on Loch Fyne to Ardgartan on Loch Long, through little known and remote countryside. The route is divided into six one day sections, with an additional seven circular walks linked to the main route. The worlds last sea going paddle steamer, the Waverley, calls regularly at Tighnabruaich on excursions. The Kyles of Bute Sailing Club is in the village as well as the Tighnabruaich Sailing School which offers a variety of courses for all levels of experience.
